In 2014 we launched Calvary Road Baptist Church in Frayser with a handful of believers and one goal in mind; To glorify God. We examined everything we thought we knew about church. We began to examine all of our traditions, our methods, our programs while at the same time pursuing what it truly meant to follow after Christ. We made a commitment to harken unto the voice of the Holy Spirit and yield to His leading in all things. We began to learn what it truly meant to think God's thoughts after Him. Through this process of putting off tradition, pride, and program we found ourselves loving one another with a pure heart fervently. We found our hearts and faces turned toward God in a real way that opened our hearts to those we are called to serve in sacrificial, radical ways. We found that "this is how church should be". In July of 2018 under the leadership of the Holy Ghost we merged with a precious group of believers called New Hope Baptist Church in Millington .

With one heart and in one accord we launched Calvary Road Baptist Church in Millington. Since that time, we have seen amazing things done in our Saviors' name. We have seen prayers answered and lives being changed. We have had the opportunity to give sacrificially to those in need, we have been moved of the Spirit to love lost souls for the sake of the Kingdom. We have seen God provide over and over with that abundant "grace sufficient" to meet our every need. If you are looking for a church with programs to cater to man's every whim, this is not that church. If you are looking for a church that is shallow, makes no demands and offers no cost of discipleship, this is not that church. However, if you are looking for a bunch of sinners saved by the grace of God who seek to glorify God through covenant and love Jesus with our whole heart and soul and mind, we may just be the place for you and your whole family. In this place, Jesus is our Shepherd. In this place, serving is our calling. In this place, God's glory is our passion.
