BELIEFS
1. We believe in the Bible as found in the 66 books of the Old and New testaments, to be both verbally inspired and providentially preserved, and represented authoritatively in our Authorized Version (commonly known as the King James Bible).
2. We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Lord Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe that God the Father is the infinite and perfect Spirit in whom all things have their source, support, and end. God is a person, not a mere force or energy, and is the Creator of all things.
4. We believe that Jesus Christ is very God, manifest in the flesh, having been born of a virgin. We believe in His sinless life. We believe in His shed blood as the only atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection for our justification, and His ascension into Heaven there to be our only mediator and perpetual intercessor before the throne of God.
5. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Triune God. He is coeternal and coequal with the Father and the Son. He indwells every believer and seals them unto the day of redemption. Certain miraculous gifts of the Spirit (such as tongues, prophecy, working of miracles) have ceased having served their original purposes during the times of the Apostles and the completion of the Canon (The Bible).
6. We believe that man was created by God. Man is composed of a spirit, soul and body. Through Adam’s disobedience all men inherit a corrupt sinful nature. Furthermore, all men are sinners by their own willful choice to commit sin. All men are in need of salvation through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
7. We believe the salvation of sinful man is by God’s grace alone. The conditions for salvation toward God, are repentance and faith (belief) toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
8. We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved in Heaven and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in a literal lake of fire.
9. We believe a New Testament church to be an independent, organized body of born again, baptized believers, practicing Scriptural Ordinances and actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission – to win the lost to Jesus Christ. We believe the primary purpose of the Church is to bring glory to God.
10. We believe the Scriptural Ordinances given to the local church are: Baptism by immersion, as a demonstration and public testimony of our new life in Christ, and the Lord’s Supper, to be partaken of by solemn, self-examined Christians in a fellowship commemoration of Christ’s death for our sins. Both Ordinances are public testimonies of what God has done for us in Christ and yield no saving grace by partaking in them.
11. We believe in the visible, personal, imminent, pre-millennial and pre-tribulational return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
12. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. We believe that it is God’s good design that gender identity is determined by biological sex and not by one’s self perception.
13. We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position and worth before God yet has ordained distinct and separate functions for them in the home and therefore in the church. We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. The husband is to lovingly lead, the wife is to lovingly submit and the children are to lovingly honor.
